Nicely furnished, everything you need. We never tired of the view from the lounge or front terrace seating area. Highly recommended.
Lovely house, exceptionally clean and well equipped. Set close to the top of quite a steep hill, two minutes walk from hub of the village where there are pubs, tearoom, bistro and very good takeaways. The coast path is literally across the road with spectacular views over the bay. Many walks around so doggy heaven. Excellent holiday base.
Driftwood is a beautiful cottage in a stunning location with everything accessible from your door-step including scenic walks, local beaches, cliff-top paths and hills, local pubs and restaurants. Private parking is at the front of the house with a dog friendly front garden. The back garden is a small courtyard. This is the best cottage we have stayed in.
We had a fabulous week at Driftwood Cottage. From the moment we arrived we felt very relaxed and at home. The welcome pack for us and one for the dog was lovely. Everything was very clean, beds extremely comfortable, and really nice decor. The cottage is in a perfect location, with access to the coastal path directly opposite and the views of the sea are spectacular. We would highly recommend and will definitely be back!
We have had 3 exceptional stays at this cottage and just love it! All the details and characteristics are beautiful, showers powerful and beds comfy! We love the terrace for a little sundowner g&t, and the fire for those more blustery evenings.
It is close enough to beaches and coves for an early morning dip before breakfast, while also being a bit away from the busier areas of Woolacombe that can be particularly popular in the height of summer! The area has some of our favourite beaches and walks too, accessible from the front door on foot if you don’t mind the hike back up the hill at the end. Otherwise just a short drive away!
We can’t wait to be back at the end of October for our first autumnal stay, having done summer, spring and winter already!

Driftwood is just great. A huge amount of thought, care and effort has been put into this lovely cottage. Spotlessly clean, surprisingly spacious, tastefully decorated to a very high standard and with everything anyone would need. Thoroughly recommended. Photo taken from the cottage door!
You would be hard pushed to find a more beautiful location in which to sit, stare and relax.
You would be hard pushed to find an equally beautiful cottage to spend time in – at any time of the year.
But once found you’re rewarded with a home from home, filled with the care and attention to detail that make Driftwood Cottage so special. Bravo.
A gem of a cottage! Very well equipped, well maintained, much bigger than I thought with the most wonderful views from the front windows. The bed was also incredibly comfy too! The location is idyllic but with easy access to surrounding towns. We had the most wonderful stay and the welcome hampers were a lovely touch.
This is a gorgeous cottage and perfect place to stay on the SW coast path. The cottage itself is beautifully kept and you can see the owner has made a real effort to ensure guests have what they need and feel welcome. Super comfortable place to stay and enjoy all the area has to offer!

In a fabulous situation looking out to sea. Right by the SW Coast Path, an easy walk to Woolacombe and even easier to the pub.
From the moment we opened the front door to this gem of a cottage, we felt totally relaxed. It is beautifully decorated, surprisingly spacious and caters to all needs. The welcome pack adds a lovely personal touch. We have been visiting the area for many years and, coupled with the spectacular views, this cottage rates as one of the best we’ve stayed in.

This was a wonderful place to stay Driftwood Cottage is in an ideal location with great views from the front of the house. Its spacious bright and very well maintained. Could not fault it. The village has two pubs, local shop and post office all within walking distance. A great place stay and visit.

Stayed in Driftwood Cottage for a week in early June 2021. Beautiful location in Mortehoe. Lovely surprisingly spacious cosy cottage. Really nicely presented with lovely decor, plus all the facilities, accessories and bits that you may need for your stay. Beds really comfy. Everything super clean and spotless on our arrival. A welcome hamper was waiting for us when we arrived. Couldn’t fault it at all. Just so sad to leave!!
Fabulous cottage, beautifully refurbished and filled with every home comfort. Stunning sea views offering the perfect spot for a sundowner. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Had a fantastic holiday at Driftwood Cottage. The cottage itself is lovely, it’s very clean and the kitchen is really well equipped. The location is just beautiful with plenty of breathtaking walks which start as soon as you leave the cottage. The village has a couple of shops, two pubs (though only one was open when we visited) and a few takeaway food options – possibly the best fish and chips we’ve ever had. We would highly recommend a stay at this beautiful cottage, it’s a real gem!
Driftwood Cottage is the perfect holiday location – it is comfortable, spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. It is ideally located for the beach, the village and surrounded by amazing, scenic walks. I can highly recommend a holiday here – we had a wonderful week with our 2 teenage sons and dog and are looking forward to returning very soon.
